HELP & FAQS

Good questions.
Clear boundaries.

Get to know the tools before putting their suggestions to work.

What is TheBlockBlastSolver.com?

It is a set of independent browser-based planning and practice aids for block puzzles. You enter a board or other requested inputs and receive a suggestion, a calculation, or a quiz explanation. It is not the game itself and is not operated by the game developer.

Are all six tools free?

Yes. The supplied tools have no paywall or sign-up requirement. You do not need a game account, email address, or profile to use them. Sending a contact message is optional and separate from puzzle calculations.

How do I enter a board accurately?

Use the 8 × 8 grid and mark occupied cells, counting rows from top to bottom and columns from left to right. You can also use eight lines of text, with eight 0 or 1 characters per line: 1 means occupied. Check every row before asking for a suggestion.

How do I enter a piece?

Use one of the three 5 × 5 piece editors. Mark the exact occupied cells in the piece’s displayed orientation. Empty margins are trimmed by the search; disconnected cells are rejected. Leave an entire piece editor blank to omit that optional piece.

Can the tool rotate my pieces?

No. It does not rotate or reflect them. Enter the shape exactly as it appears in the game. If a separate practice rule allows rotation, manually enter that orientation before running the tool; the result assumes only the orientation you supplied.

What happens when a row and column fill together?

After each move, the search detects every full row and column before removing any cell. They clear simultaneously. A crossing counts as two lines, but the intersection is one removed cell. This is the explicit planning rule used here, not a promise about every puzzle variant.

Why might the planner miss a better move?

The search is deliberately bounded: it retains up to 80 candidate states per depth and looks only at the pieces you entered. Branches can be pruned, and later pieces are unknown. The method and candidate count appear in the result so you can interpret the suggestion.

Does a plan guarantee I can win?

No. Your inputs may be incomplete, the game’s rules may differ, and the search is not exhaustive. The output is a suggestion for fun and practice. Check each placement before trying it, and stop if the actual board no longer matches.

Is the Score Calculator official?

No. You define the points per placed cell, points per cleared line, and clear multiplier. The exact equation is shown. Bonuses or mode-specific rules outside that equation are not calculated, so do not assume the estimate matches the displayed game score.

Is Daily Practice linked to an official daily challenge?

No. It uses a board you enter, a date label, and a time budget to create your own short practice session. It does not fetch game challenges, maintain a streak, or send reminders.

Does the site read my screen or game account?

No. There is no screen capture, image upload, game login, or direct connection to the game. The tools cannot read your current board unless you recreate it here. Never submit passwords, payment details, or other sensitive account information.

Where do my board and results go?

They remain in memory in this open tab. This plugin does not send them to a server, place them in cookies, or use local storage. Reloading or leaving a tool discards them. Browser extensions, print destinations, clipboard history, and third-party hosting are outside the tool’s control.

Can I keep or share a result?

Use Copy plan to put plain text on your clipboard, or Print plan to open your device’s print dialog. A PDF option may be available in that dialog. The tool itself does not start a file download. Share only what you choose to copy or print.

How do I report a wrong result or accessibility problem?

Use Contact and include the tool name, your browser, and a short description of the issue. If relevant, describe a small example using row and column numbers. Do not include a game account password or sensitive personal information. Messages may be retained by the site operator’s mail provider.
